Terms of Use

Terms for using Bank Statement Converter.

These terms explain how you may use Bank Statement Converter, including uploads, previews, paid unlocks, subscriptions, exports, and API access.

Agreement

By using Bank Statement Converter, you agree to these terms.

These Terms of Use apply to the Bank Statement Converter website, dashboard, PDF upload workflow, conversion previews, paid unlocks, subscriptions, exports, and API access. If you use the service on behalf of a company, client, or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that party.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service or upload documents.

What the service does

Bank Statement Converter helps convert bank statement PDFs into structured outputs such as CSV, Excel, and Google Sheets-friendly files. The service may provide free previews, page-limited processing, paid unlocks, subscriptions, dashboard history, and API access.

Conversion quality depends on the source document. Layout changes, scans, image quality, missing pages, password protection, regional date formats, handwritten marks, unusual bank templates, and OCR limitations can affect the result.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for activity that happens through your browser session, account, team workspace, API keys, and payment access. Keep login links, dashboard sessions, download links, and API keys secure.

API keys are intended for server-side use. Do not publish them in client-side code, public repositories, shared screenshots, support tickets, or places where unauthorized users can access them.

Uploaded files, passwords, and outputs

You retain your rights to the documents and data you upload. You grant Bank Statement Converter the limited permission needed to receive, host, process, transmit, preview, store, and make available your files and conversion outputs so the service can operate.

You must have the legal right and authorization to upload every statement or document you submit. If a PDF requires an open password, provide only the document password needed to read that file. Do not submit online banking usernames, banking passwords, one-time passcodes, or credentials for financial accounts.

You are responsible for downloading, reviewing, storing, securing, and deleting converted outputs after they are made available to you.

Your responsibilities

  • Do not upload files you are not authorized to process.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, or abusive activity.
  • Do not upload malware, attempt to bypass security controls, probe non-public systems, scrape private endpoints, overload infrastructure, or interfere with other users.
  • Do not abuse free quotas, page limits, previews, coupons, checkout flows, subscriptions, or API limits.
  • Do not resell, sublicense, or provide access to the service as a competing conversion product unless we agree in writing.
  • Review converted data before using it for accounting, tax, lending, compliance, audit, business, or other important decisions.

Conversion results are not professional advice

The service is a productivity and data extraction tool. It is not accounting, legal, tax, lending, investment, audit, compliance, or financial advice.

You should compare exports against the original bank-issued statement before relying on them. Bank Statement Converter does not guarantee that dates, descriptions, balances, signs, categories, currencies, page order, or transaction rows will always be complete or error-free.

Free previews, paid unlocks, subscriptions, and refunds

Free usage may include a daily page allowance, limited processing, or a preview of part of a document. Longer statements, full exports, higher page volumes, and API access may require a one-time payment or active subscription.

Plan pricing, page limits, included features, renewal timing, taxes, and checkout terms are shown at purchase. Subscription plans renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing period. If a payment provider processes checkout, that provider's payment terms, security rules, and dispute process may also apply.

Except where required by law or expressly stated during checkout, payments are non-refundable. We may consider refund requests case by case, especially for duplicate charges, checkout errors, or service failures that prevent access to the paid conversion. We do not generally refund payments because an uploaded statement was incomplete, low quality, password-locked without the correct password, or not suitable for OCR.

API access

API access is intended for authorized server-side workflows that submit statement PDFs for conversion. You may use the API only within your plan limits and only for documents you are allowed to process.

We may throttle, suspend, rotate, or revoke API access if usage exceeds plan limits, creates security risk, disrupts reliability, harms other users, violates these terms, or appears fraudulent or abusive.

Privacy, security, and retention

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information. Our Security Compliance page summarizes security and retention controls for statement conversion.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should upload only documents you are authorized to process and avoid submitting information that is not needed for conversion.

No warranty

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every statement format, or able to recover every transaction from every PDF.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bank Statement Converter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, substitute services, or decisions made from unreviewed conversion output.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for claims related to the service will be limited to the amount you paid to Bank Statement Converter for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service, dashboard, paid features, or API if we believe your use violates these terms, creates risk, causes operational harm, violates law, or could expose Bank Statement Converter or other users to liability.

You may stop using the service at any time. Subscription cancellation controls and billing-provider rules may apply to future renewals.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
